"Don't Always Follow Crowds"

This article is based on a post by Codie Sanchez. She shared a fantastic thread about a friend's quest to achieve exceptional results while pushing boundaries.
Native Advisors is programmed to react similarly. We must all seek out edges and push boundaries, especially in today's market.
Let's review this great post and our response:

As humans, we are wired to seek validation and acceptance from others. We often conform to societal norms and follow the crowd, even when we know deep down that we have ideas that could challenge the status quo.
What if we stopped conforming and became a conduit for ideas instead? What if we let ideas fight based on merit, not emotion? What if we found the courage to act unconventionally? The result could be realizing opportunities that others never see or are too scared to act upon. This can lead to actual outsized returns in life and wealth.
Henry Ford is a good example of this. Henry's move was a mix of nonconformity and first principles thinking; he was a game-changer. Can you build a new type of horse buggy? "No thanks, I will build a car!" Onlookers, "What's a car?"
We have seen so many in the investing industry, unwilling to even speak to someone unless there was a warm introduction. Becoming a funnel for ideas means being open to new concepts, new people, and new perspectives, even if they are different from our own.
Going further means seeking out diverse opinions and experiences to expand our thinking and challenge our assumptions. By doing this, we create an environment where ideas can flow freely and compete based on their merit, not on who came up with them or who supports them. The herd mentality is destroying this country both on the political and business side of thinking.
Letting ideas fight based on merit requires us to set aside our emotional biases and make decisions based on logic and evidence. It means being willing to change our minds when presented with new information and being open to feedback and constructive criticism. By doing this, we create a culture of intellectual honesty and transparency, where the best ideas rise to the top and are given the chance to succeed.
Finding the courage to act in a nonconformity way means being willing to take risks and challenge the status quo. It means being comfortable with the possibility of failure and rejection and being resilient enough to bounce back from setbacks. By doing this, you can create a game-changing culture of innovation and creativity, where new ideas are embraced and encouraged, and where the potential for growth and success is unlimited!

The result of becoming a funnel for ideas, is you can find new customers or uncover unknown business pathways. Letting ideas compete based on merit, and finding the courage to act in a nonconformity was gives you the ability to see opportunities that others don't. By breaking free from the constraints of conformity and embracing our individuality, we can tap into a vast well of untapped potential and create outsized returns in life and wealth.
So, if you're looking to make a mark in the world and achieve success on your own terms, start by becoming a funnel for ideas. Let ideas compete based on merit, not emotion. Find the courage to act in a nonconformist way. The road may be challenging, but the rewards are well worth the effort. With determination, persistence, and a willingness to take risks, you can create a life that is truly remarkable and game-changing.
